I don't usually blog here, but since I spend so much time on Sugar, I thought I would give it a try.

We've battled our way through a political primary season with two Democratic candidates fighting tooth and nail for the nomination. I work in the non-profit industry, specfically in the online/technology and media world. The prolonged primary season has not been kind to the non-profit world, but at the same time, I love the fact that there has not been a presumptive nominee for months. As a student of politics, I think it promotes a sense of democracy that has been seriously lacking the past. Both candidates have had to spend more time campaigning and really talking to voters than they have in the past. And I am involved enough to not be naive to the fact that the campaigning doesn't end after you are the presumptive nominee, but at the same time, the dynamic changes. Suddenly, instead of trying to appeal to certain flanks of your own party, you are trying to appeal to this group of voters who are undecided. I think that the fact that we've gone this long gives more people the opportunity to be involved, and to feel that they have the information to make informed decisions about who they think should be the next leader of our country. It is democracy at it's finest, and I say thee yay! Democracy lives!
Enjoy it, and participate, because it won't be this way again for a long time.
